Update

The artwork for the second edition of Falling Down is complete.  We are completing the book layout and will rush everything to the printer upon completion.  Mystery, Malevolence & Murder Volume 1 has been re-edited and sent to the copy editor for finishing touches.  The artwork should be complete by mid-January.

Everything is in line with our spring deadline.  More to follow very soon!

Moving right along!

Our first publications are "moving right along."  We've met with a graphic artist who is preparing updated covers for Falling Down and Mystery, Malevolence & Murder - Volume One.  The second edition of Falling Down is complete and is being type-set; MMMV1 is nearly done and will be sent to the copy editor for final proofing.  Also, this coming December we will set our schedule for publications for the year as well as announcements of writing events and contests that ASP will partake in for 2011.  Be sure to "like" us on Facebook and Twitter and subscribe to our posts right here on our blog.

More to come!

Baltimore and National Book Festivals

Another Shore Press had a busy weekend.  After fighting off illness (yes, even workaholics like us can get sick from time to time) we gassed up the car very early Saturday morning and went on the campaign trail, stopping in Baltimore and Washington, DC to meet and greet book lovers of all kinds at the Baltimore Book Festival and the National Book Festival.  While there we passed out literature and had the chance to speak with several people interested in what we are about.  I think the trip was well worth it, but still there's so much work left to do.  Stay tuned for more appearances and have a look at the photos of my weekend journey!

Looking toward the future!

Now that the site has launched, the LLC paperwork complete and announcements of our arrival have gone out, what's next?  In the upcoming months Another Shore Press will release its first titles: Falling Down and Mystery, Malevolence & Murder - Volume One.  Our tireless copy editor has completed work on Falling Down, with "Three M's" next on his list, and we will meet very soon with our graphic artist who will create our cover.  The typesetting should be completed and everything will be forwarded to the printer by Thanksgiving, so we expect the books to go on sale in time for the Christmas holiday.  More on the way.

Mystery, Malevolence & Murder - Volume Two is already complete and will serve as our first original release under the press.  We anticipate that will be available for sale during the Fall of 2011 or Spring 2012.  We'll be sure to keep you posted.

Presently we are busy making our rounds at various literary events along the east coast.  We attended the Brooklyn Book Festival, meeting and greeting avid book readers and authors.  The Baltimore Book Festival and the National Book Festival in Washington, DC are next on our list.  Next year we anticipate being at the Association of Writers and Writer's Programs Conference in Washington, as well as beginning our rounds of being active participants in various literary festivals, including The Printer's Row Festival in Chicago, the New York Book Festival in Bryant Park, Manhattan and the Harlem Book Festival.  Our roster will be made public as each event nears.  Please be sure to check our website for further details.

As you can see, we anticipate being quite busy in the upcoming months, but it only emphasizes our commitment to excellence and living up to our motto in being "the new wave of modern fiction!"

Happy reading!

Welcome to our first blog!

Another Shore Press, LLC officially launched our site on September 1st.  We're very excited and are busy putting together a schedule of events as well as preparing for our first publications, which should be the Fall of 2010.  Our goals are simple: to find and publish the freshest literary talent, to allow our voice to speak without censure and to educate and entertain our readers through the written word.  How we accomplish these goals will involve remaining true to our ideas and developing them into a complete body of work that is bold and compelling.

Another Shore Press, LLC specializes in Urban Noir and Mainstream Fiction.  At this time, we are not accepting submissions, but in the very near future we will continue to refine our processes to accomodate aspiring writers.  Please register with our mailing list or 'friend' us on Facebook or Twitter for the latest information.

Happy Reading!
